About
Ryan is a current Part 1 Architectural Assistant at jmarchitects after having completed his first three years of study at The Mackintosh School of Architecture at The Glasgow School of Art.
His work is inspired heavily by social sustainability, the psychology and politics of space, as well as the celebration of material junctions in both the old and new.
During his third year, Ryan co-led MASS (Mackintosh Architecture Students’ Association), helping to nurture studio culture across all years at The Mac.
Additionally, he is heavily involved with the European Architecture Students Assembly (EASA), an annual summer event which gathers up to 500 architecture students to live, work, cook, rest, party and learn together for two weeks in different European cities. Ryan is currently the National Contact (NC) for EASA Scotland.
Outside of architecture, Ryan is a keen DJ and is currently playing a key role in re-establishing Hill52 Radio station based in Glasgow.
